There are times when your state doesn’t seem to shift. You can feel it in your body as tension, and in your mind as constant activity, yet thinking your way out of it doesn’t seem to make much difference.
In moments like this, it can be more effective to work directly with the nervous system. The guided session below combines breathwork and hypnosis to help your system settle and open, allowing a shift to occur without forcing it.
Rather than trying to generate a specific emotion, the process creates the conditions for a different state to emerge on its own.
What This Practice Does
This session works in two phases.
1. Breathwork to Shift State
The first part uses a structured breathing pattern to gently influence your physiology.
Breath is one of the most direct ways to communicate with the nervous system. When used intentionally, it can:
Reduce internal tension
Increase oxygenation
Interrupt stress patterns
Create a sense of internal space
As your breathing changes, your state begins to shift.
2. Hypnosis to Expand Positive Feeling
Once the system has softened, the second phase uses guided hypnosis.
In this state, your attention becomes more focused and receptive. Rather than analyzing or efforting, you’re able to:
Connect more directly with internal experience
Access subtle emotional states
Allow those states to expand and stabilize
In this session, the focus is on gently amplifying feelings of ease, openness, and joy.
Not by creating something artificial, but by allowing what’s already available to become more accessible.
When to Use This
This practice can be helpful when you feel:
Mentally overactive
Emotionally flat or disconnected
Stressed or overwhelmed
Unable to shift your state on your own
It can also be used more proactively as a way to reset and reconnect.
What to Expect
Find a quiet place where you won’t be interrupted.
You can sit or lie down.
There’s nothing you need to do perfectly. Just follow the guidance and allow your experience to unfold.
Even small shifts in state are meaningful.

A Note on This Work
Practices like this are not about chasing a constant state of positivity.
They’re about learning how to work with your nervous system in a more direct way.
Over time, this creates more flexibility —so you’re not stuck in one state, and not dependent on force to change it.
If You Want to Go Further
If you find this helpful and want more structured support, this is the same foundation used in session work.
You can start with a Nervous System Reset session to experience this process in a more guided, individualized way.
